So many Corridos, it took us a lot of time, but finally we have a great compilation in our website. Please have a look at our Corridos Page and use this space to search for reference.
There’s also a PDF in case you’d like to have a printed version.
FYI, we have already started works on recording all corridos so people will be able to read as well as listen to them. But please bear in mind this is hard work and our resources quite limited so it might take some time…
We’re looking now for volunteers to help us translate all the Corridos to English so non-Portuguese speaker people can know what they are singing (According to Austin’s suggestion posted as comment on the following post http://kabula.org/2010/08/30/learning-capoeira-outside-brazil-a-few-reflections/ ).
Thanks to Victoria Filiminova for her great contribution to make this task become a very useful asset for Kabula students. Also, thanks Greg Silveira for compiling the Corridos in one PDF file.

We still looking for people which would be able to translate the Corridos. It would be great if we could have 2 or 3 people for doing it. So, it would be easier and not too heavy duty to anyone. Come on! Let make this page the best on in Kabula website and also help people to understand all the meanings, messages and methaphors messages contained in the lyrics which would help deepen understanding of Capoeira.
