Dear Kabuleiros!
From July 2010, there will be a big reduction in monthly price. This means you get UNLIMITED classes for £35 a month (reduced from £50) plus a NEW concession monthly rate of £30 a month (students, unemployed). This covers the classes from Monday through Thursday, but not the Saturday classes, which are now a capoeira co-operative. Click here to find out how.
There is a small increase in single class price to £8 (up from £7) with a concession price now £6 (up from £5). Starting from 2nd August 2010.
This is initially for the rest of 2010. We will review pricing again at the end of the year.
Why is this happening?
The new monthly rate is needed for several reasons:
- to make it more affordable for students to attend regularly
- to encourage students to attend more classes
- to reflect Saturday class being separate now it is London Capoeira Co-op, not Kabula class
- to encourage more people to pay monthly
The small increase in single class price is needed for two reasons:
- to reflect increasing costs of running classes (rent costs have risen steadily with inflation, but class price has not increased for over two years)
- to balance the reduction in monthly rate price
We hope that this change in pricing structure will create an incentive for people to move to monthly payments as this will provide big benefits to students and the group. It brings more energy to classes, more vibrancy to the group, and more stable finances. If we have a stable income and can project our finances, we can plan ahead and organise many more exciting things for you: workshops, projects, maintaining and getting new instruments regularly, launch new initiatives and lots of other things.
